About Us
In August 1973, while still a college student at Florida Bible College in Hollywood, Florida, God gave Pastor Steve a promise from Deuteronomy 30: 5 - 14. He promised that He would "return him to the land of his fathers and prosper him there beyond his fathers". Fulfilled in June 1999 Pastor Steve and his wife Sherilyn arrived in Ticonderoga and for the next nine years ministered here under the auspices of both OIKOS MINISTERIES, Ltd. and the Chilson Church. In September 2008 they relocated to Hillsborough, NJ for one year. At the end of that time, September 2009, they returned to Ticonderoga and founded Adirondack Community Fellowship in their living room.
Founded on the principal so clearly taught in Romans 8:1 that there is "now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus" ACF boldly preaches the gospel of grace to all who will listen. Our services, at 10:30 AM every Sunday morning, are filled with Praise & Worship and the joy of the Lord. We believe that we are first saved by grace through faith and then kept for all eternity by that same grace. Put simply if we could not earn salvation what makes us think we can work to keep it? That freedom causes us to serve the Lord out of joy and freedom and not fear and condemnation.
